Tuition Policy

To accept the offer of admission, students new to the preschool must submit a $500 non-refundable tuition deposit along with a signed tuition contract. The $500 deposit will be applied to the first tuition payment. The first installment of tuition is due on or before Friday, April 12, 2024 and the second installment is due on Friday, August 16, 2024. Enrollment is based on the full school year, and not on a monthly or semester basis. Though tuition may be paid in two installments, this does not constitute a fractional agreement. The $150 application fee and $500 tuition deposit are non-refundable.

By signing the enrollment contract, parents agree that annual tuition is non-refundable and non-transferable. The obligation to pay the annual tuition and fees for the full academic year is unconditional and that (except as noted below) no portion of such fees or outstanding annual tuition will be refunded or canceled in the event of absence, withdrawal, or dismissal from The Cathedral Preschool. The payment of annual tuition and fees in installments does not deem this to be a fractional contract and once a child is enrolled (as outlined above), parents are financially responsible for the student and obligated to pay the full annual tuition charges.

Only under the following two circumstances may a family request, in writing, an exception to this non-refundable tuition policy:

1. The child is moving outside the Atlanta metropolitan area. A refund request under this circumstance will be considered for a maximum of 50% of the April 14th tuition payment if and only if the following conditions are met:
a. Withdrawal of the child is necessitated by the family’s moving outside of the metropolitan Atlanta area (The Atlanta area includes Cherokee, Clayton, Cobb, DeKalb, Douglas, Fayette, Forsyth, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry and Rockdale counties, and the city of Atlanta.)
AND
b. The Director is notified of this request in writing prior to June 14, 2024.
AND
c. The resulting opening is filled within 30 days of written notification.

Upon meeting all of these conditions, any refund approved by the Executive Committee of the board will be mailed to your forwarding address.

2. The child is professionally diagnosed and documented with a special need that cannot be met by The Cathedral Preschool as determined by the Director.

Other than the circumstances outlined above, all annual tuition payments received by The Cathedral Preschool (including any prepayments made before the applicable due dates) are non-refundable and non- transferable. The Cathedral Preschool reserves the right to terminate enrollment of any student when tuition is ten (10) or more days late. A late fee of $50.00 will be assessed on payments received after the specified annual tuition due dates. Overdue accounts must reconcile their tuition obligations before registration for the coming year will be accepted. School recommendations will not be sent to other schools in the event of overdue accounts.
